About Us

Building Bridges. Creating Belonging.

We believe lasting change begins when communities come together,  when food brings dignity, training creates futures, and inclusivity builds belonging.

Our Identity

The “K” in Konnect sets us apart. It is not just a letter,  it is a statement of who we are. For us, K means Kindness, Knowledge, and Kinship. It’s a daily reminder that our purpose is to build bridges between people and opportunities.

Mission

Konnect Canadian Society exists to strengthen Canadian communities by alleviating poverty in practical and lasting ways. We provide emergency food support to ensure dignity and stability during times of need, while also creating pathways to employment for individuals with disabilities and diverse abilities. By combining immediate relief with long-term opportunities, we work to break cycles of hardship and build a more inclusive, resilient society for all.

Vision

A society where every person has the opportunity to contribute, belong, and thrive, because inclusion is not charity. It is justice.

Our Story

Konnect Canadian Society (KCSociety) was formerly known as Kurdish Canadian Society. While our name has evolved, our mission has always remained the same: to support all Canadians. The new identity, Konnect, highlights our commitment to building bridges, creating opportunities, and strengthening communities. The ‘K’ in Konnect stands for Kindness, Knowledge, and Kinship,  values that continue to guide us every day.
